ABOUT OUR CHURCH FAMILY

OUR CALL

To provide a church geared to the needs and lifestyle of the inner city community.
To reach men, women and youth from all walks of life, backgrounds and cultures with the gospel of Jesus Christ.

OUR VISION

To build a spiritual house made of living stones, indwelled and energized by Jesus, our risen Lord, through the Holy Spirit to continue all that He began both to do and teach until the day in which He was taken up.

OUR MISSION

Trevitt New Life Ministries' purpose is to aide in the creation of living stones for building God's house. We are surrendering our lives to the authority of the Holy Spirit and being transformed to the image of Christ so that we may draw others to Him. We encourage each other to develop a deep, loving and revelatory relationship with God through consistent, effective study of the Bible, multifaceted prayer lives, communion with other Christians and heartfelt service to the lost.

WHAT WE BELIEVE

Trevitt New Life Ministries' government and its practices are based upon Scriptural truths summarized in the following statements:

WE BELIEVE:
  1. There is one God – who has 3 distinct manifestations.  God the Father, who is above us; the Son (Jesus Christ) who is God with us, and the Holy Spirit, who is God in us.

    a. God, the Father is the creator of all things (Genesis 1;
        Rev. 4:11)
    b. Jesus Christ, true God and true man (John 1:14 and
        Matt. 1:23)
    c. The Holy Spirit, a Divine Person whose power works in
        every believer (John 14:26)

  2. The Old and New Testaments are God's infallible, divinely inspired words (II Tim. 3:16)

  3. All have sinned and come short of. the glory of God and are in need of salvation; once received, salvation is a continual process which includes endeavoring to live a Holy and sanctified life (Romans 3:23)

  4. Salvation has been provided through Jesus Christ for all humanity (John 3:16)

  5. One must be born of the Spirit and baptized into the Body of Christ (John 3:3-5 and I Cor 12:13)

  6. In speaking in tongues as the Spirit gives utterance (Acts 2:4, Acts 10:45-48)

  7. In water baptism by immersion (Matt 3:13-16, Matt 28:19, Acts 2:38, Acts 10:47-48)

  8. There will be a bodily resurrection of the Church of Jesus Christ
    (I Thess. 4:13-18)

  9. There will be a second coming of Jesus Christ (Acts 1:6-11)

  10. The Virgin Birth, the Death, Burial and Resurrection of the Lord, Jesus Christ, the son of the Living God (Luke 1:26-33, Luke 24:45-46, I Cor. 15:3-4)

  11. Healing is provided in the redemptive work of Christ and is available to every believer (I Peter 2:24)

  12. In observance of the following sacraments of the church:  communion, footwashing, marriage, dedication of children
    (I Cor. 11:23-26), John 13:4-8, Gen 2:24, Luke 18:15-16)

  13. The tithe belongs to God (Mal. 3:10, Num. 18:24)

  14. That the 5-Fold Ministry according to Ephesians 4:11, will operate in this local body.
